🔥 What’s New in Horrific Visions 11.1.5
Horrific Visions have been re-worked and updated for this latest patch. Here is a quick rundown of the major additions and alterations:
New Companion System: Construct of Soridormi will grant you helpful abilities during your runs to ease your travels through this madness.
Unlimited Entry Access: Unlike before, you now no longer require Vessel keys. Enter as many times as you wish. Worry not; your loot is limited per week based on the highest difficulty completed.
Account-Wide Progression: Progress is Warband-wide nowadays: Faceless Masks, Tribute Upgrades, and Hourglass unlocks are available to all.
New Rewards: Think Heroic gear, unique transmog sets, legendary cloak appearances, mounts, pets, and weapon illusions.
World of Warcraft The War Within Horrific Vision Guide Talent Tree Overhaul: The giant upgrade to the Titan Research Tree now grants better and permanent improvements, allowing each run to empower your character.
Mask System Expansion: Three new Faceless Masks raise the challenge ceiling farther, with ever more prestige and better rewards.
⏳ The Hourglass of Horrific Visions
Under the 11.1.5 Patch, Horrific Visions had a full upgrade system rework named the Hourglass of Horrific Visions. This progression tree is meant to be a step-down from the original Titanic Research system, aiming to provide real power boosts and increasing survivability for your runs.
🧠 How It Works:
This upgrade of the tree requires a different kind of currency called Echoes of N’Zoth, attainable through the exchange of Displaced Corrupted Mementos at Augermu in Dornogal. However, progression itself is time-gated, and you can only gain a finite number of Echoes weekly. On average, six weeks are going to be necessary to have every tier fully unlocked.
💰 Echo Costs by Week:
Week | Displaced Corrupted Mementos Required (per Echo) |
---|---|
1 | 20 / 100 / 300 / 500 |
2 | 700 / 800 / 900 / 1000 |
3 | 1100 / 1200 / 1300 / 1400 / 1500 |
🧩 Hourglass Trait Trees
The Hourglass is divided into several trait lines, each offering unique benefits. Here’s a breakdown of each:
🌀 Orb Operation Manual
- Effect: Grants access to Sanity Restoration Orbs during visions. These orbs revive all nearby allies and restore their Sanity.
- You can summon up to 3 orbs per run—shared among all party members.
🧪 Singular Sanitation Expertise
- Rank 1: +5% damage dealt, -5% damage taken. Each nearby ally reduces this by 1%.
- Rank 2: +10%/-10%, reduced by 2% per nearby ally.
- Rank 3: +15%/-15%, reduced by 3% per nearby ally.
⚡ Emergency Cranial Defibrillation
- If you lose all Sanity or health during a vision, you are instantly revived with full HP and +500 Sanity.
- Triggers once per run.
🛡️ Steeled Mind
- Rank 1–4: Reduces Sanity drain by 10% / 20% / 30% / 40%, respectively.
🧠 Expansive Mind
- Rank 1: +50 max Sanity to all party members.
- Rank 2: +100 max Sanity.
- Rank 3: +150 max Sanity.
🧍 Synchronized Mind Stabilizer
- Your first ally resurrection during a vision costs no Sanity.
🎁 Gift of the Titans (Final Unlock)
- Defeating enemies has a chance to grant Gift of the Titans, increasing Haste and Movement Speed by 60% and completely negating Sanity loss for 20 seconds.
🏺 Tributes System in Horrific Visions
In addition to the Hourglass, 11.1.5 introduces Tributes—a passive reward system that activates based on your performance across multiple Horrific Vision runs. These appear in the preparation room and provide persistent buffs as you reach specific milestones (e.g., defeating elites, bosses, or collecting odd crystals).
Each Tribute has three ranks and levels up automatically as you complete relevant actions during your runs. Check more in our World of Warcraft The War Within Horrific Vision Guide!
🧟♂️ Tribute of the Vision Hunter
- Earned by: Killing N’Zoth’s minions.
- Rank 1: Gain +1% Haste and Movement Speed per kill (up to 5 stacks).
- Rank 2: +2% per stack.
- Rank 3: +3% per stack.
🦾 Tribute of Elite Extermination
- Earned by: Defeating Elite enemies.
- Rank 1: Restores 50 Sanity per elite kill.
- Rank 2: Restores 100 Sanity.
- Rank 3: Restores 150 Sanity.
🧬 Tribute of Experimental Destabilization
- Earned by: Killing Vision bosses.
- Rank 1:
- Above 50% Sanity: +4% damage.
- Below 50%: -4% damage taken.
- Rank 2: +8%/-8%.
- Rank 3: +12%/-12%.
👁️ Tribute of Clear Sight
- Earned by: Collecting potions and Odd Crystals.
- Rank 1: Can now see treasure chests in Tainted zones.
- Rank 2: Includes Corrupted zones.
- Rank 3: Includes Lost zones as well.
Together, the Hourglass and Tributes systems offer deep, satisfying progression that enhances your Horrific Visions runs with both raw power and tactical options. Whether you’re soloing or in a group, these systems give you a clear path to improvement—and reason to return week after week.
